CHALLENGE

B&B Contracting Group has crews from multiple divisions doing various types of work across the province. They were looking for an innovative and accessible training method for their workers to keep them educated on the latest operating procedures and safety policies.

The company also faced annual turnover and was looking for a one-stop-shop video to play at new-hire orientations to introduce new employees to the company’s history, values, and impact in local communities.

B&B was also looking to educate it’s employees on the valuable relationships the company had invested in with local Indigenous communities and show the importance of working together with local partners to steward the land.

SOLUTION

Over several months, we produced a library of microlearning lessons, accessible via an app. This accessible method allows workers to stay up to date with the latest safety policies and standard operating procedures, whether on the job site or on their own time. This library has had a significant impact on reducing workplace incidents and hazards.

We also produced an in-depth, engaging orientation video to help new employees learn about the company, its values, and the impact of their work on local communities.

We worked with local indigenous leaders to produce an educational resource for employees to learn about the relationships the company has with local indigenous communities and why it is important to steward the land they are working on in order to preserve it.
