Vancouver Aviation College is a registered flight training unit (FTU) that is located in Greater Vancouver, at the Pitt Meadows Regional Airport. They are one of the few registered FTUs across Canada, which is owned and managed by a former Airline Pilot. Vancouver Aviation College is equipped to train people on how to fly aircraft both for Private and Commercial purposes.

Vancouver Aviation College is owned and managed by Captain Mostafa Khosrowtaj. Mostafa Khosrowtaj has over 40 years’ hands-on experience in aviation as an Airline Captain, Instructor, and Examiner.

We work with our pilot students on various topics to make sure that we all are equipped with the appropriate soft skills that are tied with a pilot career such as Time Management, Communication Skills, Stress Management, Thinking like a Commander, and Discipline.

THE CHALLENGE

Vancouver Aviation College was newly established when I came into contact with it. At the time (2022), I was a third-year university student and worked and began an internship with them, producing media content for their website. The organization needed to communicate its expertise and promote the various programs it offers.

THE SOLUTION

Due to the difficulty of being in smaller airplane cabins, we mounted action cameras on the wings to capture unique perspectives. We also produced a series of images of students inside real classes to show the real-world experiences of everyday students.

We created a brand story video and promoted the programs they offer. In addition, we produced a series of videos promoting the cultural values of the people within the organization, which helps define the organization and elevate it in the industry.

Vancouver Aviation College needed a new digital experience that targeted new client groups from across the globe. With their broader audience demographic, we ensured that the content spoke to people from around the world.

We captured stunning footage from the skies and unique angles using action cameras on the planes, producing engaging, eye-catching perspectives. This content helped transform their web platforms and increased their communication effectiveness by over 40%.

Communicating Information
with Ease and Accessibility

Working with their leadership team, we developed a series of program videos that communicated key information regarding the various licenses and degrees offered.

These videos served as the first look into the organization and offered an inside look at the classroom experience. Given the technical nature of the information, communicating it in both text and video forms helped position them as industry leaders and friendly faces to international students.
